British Board of Film Classification decides upon the classification of each
film. It is a non-governmental organisation, funded
by the film industry and responsible for the national classification and
censorship of films within the United Kingdom.

classifying content, classifiers look at the theme, content,
presentation and impact of the film as a whole while taking the following
factors into consideration:
